To far for Google or just a great app?

I have a fairly strong Google link. I use everything Google and love it. But how far is too far? I have only recently discovered Google Maps and have to say wow - what a great app add on. But I do worry where all this is leading us...or have I been reading to many Robert Ludlum books...

Go to http://maps.google.com, search for 'times square, ny' and then click on the street view link under the photo on the little marker.
