The mistakes facebook is making...in my opinion...

Tagged:

I think facebook has been making some classic mistakes recently that will only see it go the way of myspace in relation to a mass migration to a new system platform long term.

1: Unregulated module submissions.
Surely we don't need 3 or 4 flickr plugins, 2-3 "where I have been" applications etc etc. They should have chosen the best of the crop for the site and kept it a little tidier.

2: Opening it up to Google - a mass appeal was the privacy and now it feels violated somewhat.

3: Commmercialisation - relating to point 1: - I don't really need to be exposed to so much crap like Red Bull this and compare me that, hot or not etc etc. Keep the brands out stick to advertising.

Three small points with some large ramifications...what's next customisable templates?
