Lately I have been listening to Maximo Park and Longview.

Maximo Park gets a 7.8/10 in my books. They have a style all to themselves even though they are part of the current guitar band punk/pop resurgence. They have a 70s punk edge with an 80/90s pop writing ability to create catchy hooks and melodys. A fantastic listen and real fun. The Acrobat song is different to all others on the album but deserves special mention and being rather enjoyable.

Longview wears out pretty quickly. A soft version of the GooGoo Dolls in my humble opinion. Further is a good song but the rest of the album follows the same formula leaving my sleepy and un-inspired.
