There is only one Guitar Shop on Denmark St - Wunjo Guitars

Wunjo GuitarsThis post is really only to say that if you are shopping on Denmark St in London for a guitar you may be unaware most Guitar shops on the strip are owned by the same owners. Hence some pretty hefty inflated Guitar prices.

However, Wunjo guitars have to be, not only the best, but the cheapest also. The guys are friendly. You can go in and pick up a guitar, have a play, chit chat and feel no pressure to buy, no pressure to 'not' touch anything. In short the shop is brilliant, I can't recommend it enough. I also get nothing for posting this fyi, I really am just a fan.

PS - They are also brilliant for Left Hand Guitars and don't inflate their prices on those.

Hi

I just want to say I totally agree with you that they are a great shop. I found it has a very different atmosphere that the others on Denmark St. Welcoming and really friendly, helpful staff.

I don't get anything out of this either, but they did me a nice discount and I'll definately be back when I 'need' some new kit.

I totally agree - Wunjo is the best shop on Denmark st

Was totally blown away by how helpful, friendly and cool the guys in the store were. Made the rest of the stores on denmark st look like the rude & arrogant fools that they are.

They gave me a fantastic deal on a strat and even let me take one guitar home while I waited for the colour I wanted to be ordered and delivered.

Absolutely first class!

Totally disagree worst customer service and rudest on street

This is the worst rudest shop on Denmark street and I would recommend that everyone avoid this shop like you would avoid a vernal disease. This shop should be closed down by trading standards. I have not had as bad an experience in any of the other places on Denmark street.
I've got to say I completely disagree with what is stayed above.
I bought a 50watt head from there about 2 years ago and the experience is the worst I've ever known, not just from a guitar shop but from anywhere I've ever bought anything from. First of all when I went in to pick it up I was left waiting for 30 minutes after which someone came and asked me what I was waiting for. The amp was then dumped on the shop floor and just left with no customer service whatsoever. When I got the amp home it wasn't working at all with what appeared to be a quite serious fault as it was not just the valves but also some other components. This had most certainly happened in the shop after I had tested it an before I'd picked it up which I presume was because when they had got hold of my money they didn't care what state the amp was in and took no care of it whatsoever when taking off the shop floor or storing it. I then rang up the shop to tell them this at which point Ron was very dismissive implying it was my fault. Eventually I arranged to bring it back in and ended the call only to be called back later by another member of staff who was very rude and was attempting to imply that I knew nothing about valve amps and that I had broken it. I have 2 other valve amps and have mended most minor faults myself. When I took the amp back in Ron again was very rude and dismissive and was again trying to imply it was my fault. At this point I told him that in my opinion he had supplied a product that was not of acceptable quality and therefore I requested my money back, basically a 20 minute argument ensued I'm which they effectively refused this. And sent it off to be mended even though I told them I didn't want it fixed I wanted my money back. I was in the shop about 1:30 minutes arguing with the staff about this and requested to speak to the manager or owner which they refused a number of times until two of my brother's joined me one of whom is was working for the police a that point. Then miraculously the manager was available on the phone which Ron passed to me. When the owner came on the phone before I could even start I was greeted with a load of abuse and swearing.
Eventually I got the amp back working, after wasting a whole day messing about all day, the standard of the job done however was poor and me and a friend have since fixed all the 'fixes' that they did.
I have since reported the shop to trading standards although I don't know if they're doing anything.
Since this a girl I know had taken a vox marauder to the shop to have something done to it no sure what and I've seen that they have heavily damaged the guitar. She thinks they took it completely apart to take a cast of the body or do something like that as it is a very rare guitar and damaged it in the process. She also stated that the staff especially Ron were very rude and that she was sworn at and denied the return of her guitar when she asked for it.
I believe from what I have been told that some of the practices described above could be illegal, especially the refusal to give me a refund and the refusal to give my friend her guitar back.

Really good and friendly
