I cannot believe the weekend is over already. What a terrible tragedy that my brain begins to settle on Sunday night only to be rudely awakened on Monday morning to the reality of work and real life. Saturday night with Jules Holland was brilliant. Beautiful weather, food, company, surroundings and music. You couldnt wish for much more.

Yet the stark truth settles in and the week has begun. Tonight is one of the first nights I have turned the TV off early to enjoy peace and quite. Thanks to my wife in truth but still, and bit more time to write and read is fabulous. I finished book 10 in the Robert Jordan Wheel of Time series tonight. Now I have to wait until October till the next one is out. I dont get that; waiting year after year for the next edition. Now that I have caught up with the back catalog I am a little peturbed that he wont just finish the damn series. Orbit Books

I get a new laptop at work this week. Not that it is anything new considering all the notebooks I have had over the last few years including this peice of fine workmanship. (Apple) . What it does though is remind me of the desire communicate these gadgets give me and the lack of communication there after. All intention and no action. The reality is I would be just as well off with a phone, pen and paper. I believe my desire to be a writer may be hindered by my lack of grammatical expertise and a general ability to stick to something longer than a month.
This blog has been going for.....a couple of weeks and it is a miracle that I am even adding to it now. If only adding images was easier...

Maybe I can look at that now...
